Welcome Authors!

I am on summer break from teaching English and want to review books and share author stories.

I enjoy YA, mystery, adventure, some historical fiction, and literary fiction. 


For Interview:

In first-person, answer the interview questions.

You will get a link to share with your author interview.

There is no fee.

There is no word count limit, but do not write a short story.

Community mourns Cameron, NC's Miss Belle’s Collectibles, Antiques & Tea Room

Miss Belle's in 2021 after fence install.    Today, June 20, 2023, Cameron, North Carolina, is known as the town where that historic house was demolished by a church on Juneteenth. It is on the web, the radio, and TV. The demolition began at 7:30 a.m. on Juneteenth and ended when rain poured that afternoon. This photo is from June 20, 2023 at 7 a.m. According to Data USA, in 2020, the Town of Cameron is 46.4% white and 43.9% Black. In the late 1800s, Cameron, North Carolina was known as the Dewberry Capital. From the 1970s through 2019, it was known as the Antique Capital of the world. What will Cameron will be known as next?   When the Yellow Slugs Sing is a suspense story written by a teacher to grow awareness of the problem of endangered species and construction development.  It's the serious story you can't read without laughing.  Jill Jumpy races home when she learns Pretty Pines’ endangered Yellow Slugs are threatened with extinction by a proposed development, and learns her heart is open to a proposal of its own. These mollusks are famous because they sing and glow and are delicious. A theme of compromise weaves the activism and reunited lovers together as a quasi-judicial hearing inspires critical thinking about decisions that impact species, even slugs. Realistically, development is at record highs in America, 2023, and mollusks are disappearing at alarming rates.
