soon discovers a pattern of scientists who died or disappeared dating back to
1942.
Sam
begins experiencing prophetic dreams revealing a mysterious assassin targeting
key scientists. He and Frank, along with physicist Danielle Olsson team up in
an attempt to unravel the puzzle. The elusive killer remains one step ahead as
world events deteriorate. With the world on the brink of war, the three are in
a fight against time before China unleashes its arsenal of nuclear weapons.

back in time with Sam as he investigates a murder and is faced with a dilemma:
should he save a life and risk altering the past, or allow a murder to occur
and history remain unchanged?

Excerpt from Flash Back

Sam stepped onto soft,
damp grass. Dusk had passed hours ago and there was little light to guide him.
His eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness. Soft blue moonbeams peeked through
opaque clouds. Trees cast shadows that danced with the wind. The team had
selected a secluded wooded location in the Hyde Park section of Chicago. Hard
to believe, in an instant, he had just traveled two-thousand miles, and eighty
years back in time! The portal shrank down and disappeared, leaving Sam alone.
A new one would open in three weeks for his return trip home. That gave him
twenty-one days to become familiar with Enrico Fermi's routines. Twenty-one
days to gather facts around the murder.
Unusually
warm for November, the night air was filled with the smells of fall. A cool
breeze brushed the aroma past Sam's nostrils. The scent of leaves decomposing
mixed with cut grass and pine. Beyond the trees, moonlight sparkled off the
lake. Sam stood motionless, taking it all in. The sights, the smells. It was
spectacular. He was in Burnham Park, standing on a man made peninsula called
Promontory Point which jutted out onto Lake Michigan.
Another breeze, this one stronger, and colder, bit into Sam's face, waking him to the cold facts. He had a mission to accomplish ...
