Riot Season in Robeson County, NC

Riot season is nothing new for Robeson County, North Carolina where there has been an ongoing underground civil war threatening to bring an entire faction of Natives to extinction.

A few weeks ago, the statue of Hamilton McMillan, the attorney-politician-con man, who swindled Natives out of their "recognized name," the Tuscaroras, was painted red.

Now, after a peaceful protest march, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke’s (UNCP) athletes who were called derogatory names during the march have begun a war on removing the university mascot, the Brave (Indian).

It is common knowledge for most that UNCP’s Old Main Hall was reconstructed after it was burned down years ago.

Well, you cannot reconstruct people...

The best hope now is education and that takes discipline. Rallying together a bunch of riled-up folks is no easy task and because the University has no memorialization of the NC Tuscaroras, the loss of the true history, the foundation of the University, is at high risk.

There are 4k NC Tuscaroras and 65k Lumbee “Indians,” which is why the marginal group of Natives have been and continue to live under fierce oppression.

That is why a decision was made to provide the true history of the area’s Natives with characters who will make the reader feel like they know the people of Robeson County, even if the reader lives in Nebraska.

The Exsanguination of the Second Society: Scholarly Historical Fiction Relating to Robeson County, North Carolina’s Tuscaroras has 75 references from scholarly sources, interviews, FOIA documents, and news articles that will stand the test of time.

The storyline is racked with secrets threatening to kill off instigators who are working to free NC Tuscaroras from the Lumbee “splinter tribe” oppression. In the end, a crafty old alligator protects a moonshiner’s legacy – from across the “big pond,” but can the Mighty Tuscarora fight a fate of exsanguination?

Nothing pisses off people more than the truth, so there could be a few more riots before NC Tuscaroras are served justice. The Exsanguination of the Second Society is a fat book and will take a spell to read.
